Indigenous Crafters / Gathering of Makers (“Organizer”)
Vendor (“Vendor”)
By submitting the vendor application and/or submitting payment, the Vendor agrees to all terms outlined in this Agreement.
1. Event Information
Event Name: Gathering of Makers – Indigenous Artisan Market Series
Location: Prudhommes / Lake Ontario Shoreline Venue
Market Hours: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM (strict)
Vendor Setup Deadline: 9:00 AM
Vendor Takedown: 4:00 PM or later
Absolutely no early teardown unless approved by staff for safety or emergency.
2026 Dates (All Saturdays):
May 16 – Renewal & Spring
June 20 – Youth & Energy
July 18 – Connection & Gratitude
August 15 – Ancestors & Reflection
2. Indigenous-Made Requirement
All products sold must be:
✔ Made by Indigenous artisans
✔ Handmade, handcrafted, or designed by the vendor
✔ Culturally respectful
✔ Transparent in origin
Misrepresentation may result in removal without refund.
A small number of ally vendors may be invited by approval only.
3. Vendor Pricing, Payment & Refund Policy
Vendor Options
Single Market Vendor — $100
Full Season Vendor (All 4 Markets) — $350 (Save $50)
Payment Deadline:
April 1, 2026
A vendor spot is confirmed only after full payment is received.
Refunds:
Vendor fees are non-refundable, except in the event of a full cancellation by the Organizer.
If a vendor cannot attend:
They may request a transfer of their spot to another Indigenous vendor
Transfers must be approved by the Organizer
No refunds for illness, no-shows, weather, or withdrawal
Weather Policy:
This is a rain-or-shine outdoor event.
No weather-related refunds.
If conditions become unsafe, the event may be paused or ended early for safety.
4. Vendor Responsibilities
Vendors agree to:
✔ Arrive early and be fully set up by 9:00 AM
✔ Remain open until 4:00 PM
✔ Provide their own tent, table, displays, and equipment
✔ Properly weight tents (minimum required per leg)
✔ Maintain a clean, safe, respectful booth
✔ Follow all rules, cultural protocols, and staff directions
✔ Conduct themselves in a good way
5. Cultural Respect & Protocol
The event integrates cultural spaces including:
Settlement Area
Sacred Fire
Métis tent
First Nation tipi
Drumming & singing
Teachings & storytelling
Vendors agree to:
✔ Respect all cultural boundaries
✔ Follow guidance from firekeepers, Elders, or cultural leads
✔ Avoid inappropriate use of sacred items or imagery
✔ Ensure all items reflect authenticity and respect
Harassment, discrimination, or disrespectful conduct will result in immediate removal without refund.
6. Media Consent & Vendor Bio Page
By participating, Vendor grants permission for:
Use of submitted images and product photos
Creation of their Vendor Profile Page on the site
Event photo/video content including their booth
Event promotion via website, social media, and marketing materials
Vendor profiles are published only after payment and approval.
7. Liability & Insurance
The Vendor acknowledges:
Participation is at their own risk
The Organizer, property owner, volunteers, and affiliates are not responsible for loss, theft, damage, or injury
Vendors are responsible for the safety of their booth and products
Vendors selling food or topical products must comply with Canadian regulations
Vendors assume all liability for their own business activity.
8. Safety Requirements
Vendors agree to:
✔ Secure tents with proper weights
✔ Keep walkways clear
✔ Report hazards immediately
✔ Follow any safety-related instructions
Failure to comply may result in removal.
9. Agreement Acceptance
By submitting the vendor application and/or paying the vendor fee, the Vendor acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to all terms listed in this Agreement.
